terms of purchase

On acceptance of any order suppliers must advise Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd of any changes to approvals held from all third parties.

The supplier shall notify Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd of any changes to product, process, facility or documentation applicable to this purchase.

Supplier shall immediately contain and notify Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd of any parts or materials believed to be non-conforming and agree disposition as appropriate, this includes any parts already delivered.

Suppliers must not accept order amendments verbally or written unless signed by purchasing authority.

The quality assurance representative of Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd, its customer and regulatory authorities have right of access to the applicable areas of all facilities, at any level of the supply chain, involved in the order and to all applicable records and reserve the right to verify at source that purchased materials/product conform to order requirements.

Sub-tier suppliers shall not be used be used without prior arrangement of Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd process substantiation shall be made available on request.

The supplier shall flow-down the requirements of this purchase order and associated specifications to sub-tier suppliers as applicable.

The supplier shall ensure that all records and documentation associated with products or services supplied to Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd are retained indefinitely and shall make such records available upon request by Bright Engineering, its customers, or regulatory authorities.

The supplier shall ensure:

  • Their contribution to product or service conformity
  • Their contribution to Product Safety
  • The importance of Ethical Behavior
  • They implement appropriate controls to prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD) contamination and ensure all products supplied are free from FOD upon delivery.
  • That counterfeit product or raw material is not knowingly shipped
  • Suppliers must ensure conflict free sourcing and uphold accountability of and potential 3TG conflict materials or any of its known derivatives.

 Counterfeit Prevention and Material Authenticity

The Supplier shall establish, document, and maintain processes to prevent the introduction of counterfeit, suspect counterfeit, fraudulent, or unapproved materials and products into the supply chain in accordance with the principles of AS6174 and AS9100 requirements (to latest revision). The Supplier shall procure materials and products only from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Original Component Manufacturers (OCMs), authorised distributors, or other approved sources capable of providing full traceability to the original manufacturer.

The Supplier shall maintain objective evidence of material authenticity, traceability, and conformity, including certificates of conformity, test reports, and relevant manufacturing records, and shall make such records available to Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd upon request.

Where there is any suspicion that counterfeit or suspect counterfeit material has been supplied or incorporated into products intended for Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd, the Supplier shall immediately notify Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd in writing, quarantine all affected material, and cooperate fully in any investigation. Suspect counterfeit material shall be positively identified, segregated, controlled, and prevented from re-entering the supply chain.

Any costs incurred by Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd as a result of counterfeit or suspect counterfeit material supplied by the Supplier, including investigation, containment, replacement, rework, testing, recall, or regulatory reporting activities, shall be borne by the Supplier.

Special Process Certification Requirements

Suppliers performing special processes (including, but not limited to, heat treatment, plating, anodising, painting, welding, NDT, chemical processing, and surface treatments) shall provide objective evidence of conformity with each delivery.

Where required by contract, drawing, specification, customer flow-down, or first-time processing activity, the supplier shall provide a First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) completed in accordance with AS9102, latest revision. Alternatively, where a FAIR is not required, the supplier shall provide a detailed Certificate of Conformity (C of C) containing, as a minimum:

  • Purchase Order number.
  • Part number and revision status.
  • Quantity processed.
  • Process specification and revision.
  • Batch, lot, or heat number traceability, where applicable.
  • Relevant acceptance reports
  • Confirmation of conformity to all applicable customer and specification requirements.
  • Name and approval status of the organisation performing the process.
  • Authorised signature and date.

Failure to provide the required FAIR or detailed Certificate of Conformity may result in rejection of the product and return at the supplier's expense.

This order is subject to Bright Engineering (Precision Products) Ltd terms and conditions. Goods must be accompanied by delivery note and C of C as appropriate.

No part delivery is accepted without prior arrangement.

Payment terms; Net 60 days from end of invoice month, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
